Company History

Originally founded by Luis Armendariz and Alfonso Nevarez, Pro Sheet Metal was the family’s entry into the construction sheet metal trade.  In 1994, Michael & Laura Nevarez continued this great family lineage by creating Metal Masters. Their goal was to create a company whose very basis was founded on delivering quality projects and exceeding the expectations of their clients by providing a seamless and trouble-free experience for them. This concept motivated Michael to focus his attention on bringing project management to the sheet metal trade in the single family residence market providing expertise in roof & deck metal, standing seam systems, and ventilation. 

As the business grew, more staff was needed to keep things running smoothly. In 1996, Michael and Laura invited a few family members to join the team and support the operations and assist in the organizational challenges. In 2004, the Southern California market was exploding with Multi-Family Residential construction and the company decide to begin to move away from single family houses and focus on new construction apartments. This directional shift prompted ownership to form a new company that would solely concentrate on this segment to which, Tinco Sheet Metal was born.

One of the key decisions made during this period was to start a full fabrication facility to supply the company’s own demand. This was an important capability to offer our clients as it established shorter lead times, more control of material flow, competitive cost structures, JIT delivery to sites, and controlled product quality.  

Over the years, Tinco has expanded our presence from the border of Southern California to San Jose, in almost every imaginable commercial construction project including: all types of pre-mixed use building, retail projects from interior remodels to town centers, tilt-up structures, educational facilities, and assisted living facilities.

With our headquarters expanding, Tinco has the capacity and resources to meet the needs of any project throughout California. Tinco has established itself as an experienced and quality-driven installation, construction project management, and metal fabrication firm that endeavors to lead the industry by following a core set of principles rooted in our absolute commitment to employee and customer satisfaction. From free standing buildings to remodels, tilt wall structures to pre-engineered metal buildings, no project is too big or too small for our highly capable team. We consistently deliver a quality project on time and within budget.
