Michael Nevarez, Chairman / Founder
A native of Los Angeles, Michael started in the sheet metal industry in 1985 learning all aspects of materials and installation working for his family business. In 1990, Mike decided to strike out on his own to build a small entrepreneurial business working on single family track homes in Los Angeles. This proved fortuitous for him as he became intrigued with providing quality products and service to clients in the construction industry. In 1994, he set about incorporating his ideas within the highly demanding and often varied client requirements to contracting business as Metal Masters. From the onset, Michael saw the benefits of providing a uniformed service approach that would include fabricating materials to increase flexibility and speed to the site.
In 2003, he decided to explore the Multi-Family Residential apartment market taking on a few projects and found that this would be the future of the company’s direction. With the success of these projects, he formally launched Tinco Sheet Metal in 2004 to focus solely on this segment and wound down the single family housing division. At the same time, he felt strongly about becoming involved in the local community giving back through various foundations and charities to help inner city children with building educational and technical skills to provide better opportunities for advancement.
Today Michael remains actively engaged with field personnel to support the company’s mission to quality and safety. As a Principal, Michael brings an expert level of experience, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to our brand.
